mwap's highlights

The Muslim Women’s Association of Pittsburgh was organized in the 1900’s in Pittsburgh as a charitable organization. It’s members are Muslim women who come from all sections of the city and a few foreign countries. Our mission is:

To present Islam to Muslims and non Muslims to promote friendly relations  and understanding between them.

To procure and develop necessary human and financial resources to achieve our objectives.

To develop service institutions to serve the needy and the under served.

To establish and implement plans to address the following areas of concern: Family needs (including but not limited to domestic violence, housing, recreational needs, educational needs and medical needs).

Our Leadership team consist of Muslim Sisters that are members at different mosques from all over the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas with different skill sets that makes the organization successful by Allah's permission.

Muslim Women's Association has served over a hundred individuals and families since its' inception.


MWAP is maintaining and operating the only Muslim run shelter in the city Pittsburgh and surrounding areas with the help of your generous donations and duas.
